Upper eyelid surgery focuses on removing or reshaping excess skin (and sometimes a small amount of fat) to reduce hooding and create a cleaner eyelid contour.

Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelid Surgery)

When to Add Facial Fat Injection (for Hollow or Sunken Eyes)

A growing number of patients don’t just have “bags”—they have a bag-and-hollow pattern: puffiness in one area and volume loss in another. That’s why adding facial fat injection (fat grafting) can be an excellent option for selected patients who want to:

Fat injection is not automatically for everyone. The goal is subtle support—restoring smooth contour without looking puffy. Your consultation will determine whether you need:

Eyelid Surgery vs Brow Lift or Forehead Lift (When Patients Should Add It)

This is one of the most important conversations for patients seeking a “more open” or “snatched eye” look.

If the brow is low, it can push tissue down onto the upper eyelid and make the eye area look heavy even if there’s not much extra eyelid skin. In these cases:

  • eyelid surgery alone may not fully open the eye area
  • you may benefit from brow lift or forehead lift, with or without upper blepharoplasty

A simple way to think about it:

  • Eyelid problem: excess eyelid skin/fat

Incisions and Scars: Where Are They?

Eyelid surgery scars are typically designed to sit in natural creases or hidden locations.

Facelift, necklift, upper eyelids and upper lip, 10th October 2023. This was my first trip to Turkey and it was my first surgery under general anaesthesia, and it was terrifying. My surgeon immediately made a very good impression – an open and intelligent person, a professional, ready not only to answer all your questions but also to clarify what you always wanted to know but didn’t think to ask. The surgery lasted more than 6 hours, the post op was hard, although painless, and the result was great, I got back the face that I had 15 years ago. The Vanity clinic itself is incredibly well organised. Even the hotel Antwell turned out to be a 24-hour infirmary with a doctor on duty, everything new and clean, a cosy garden with alleys for walking, people around – patients like me, and therefore no embarrassment anywhere, which is also important.
