Mert Sızmaz completed his medical degree at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (English program) and his specialty training at Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital.

After compulsory service at Kars Harakani State Hospital, he took an observership in the United States in 2019, including clinical experience at Tampa General Hospital. He has performed surgery since 2015, joined Vanity in 2023, and has eight peer-reviewed publications.
