Editorial Policy

Last updated August 2, 2026

This Editorial Policy explains how the content on this website — operated by Fermed Özel Sağlık Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş. (“Vanity”, “our clinic”, “we”) — is planned, written, medically reviewed, translated and kept up to date. It applies to all editorial content we publish, including procedure pages, recovery guides and blog articles.

Our goal is simple: to give people considering cosmetic surgery clear, accurate and evidence-based information, in their own language, so that they can have a better-informed conversation with a qualified physician. Editorial content is informational only — it is not medical advice. Please also read our Medical Disclaimer.

Who Writes Our Content

Our content is produced by an in-house editorial team, and articles carry a visible byline. The team is led by Gökçe Özdemir, our Health & Beauty Editor, who plans our editorial coverage and is responsible for editorial quality. Our Medical Content Writers, Samed Anık and Cankut Altuncu, research and draft procedure pages and blog articles, working to the sourcing standards described below and with direct input from our clinical team.

You can learn more about each writer on their profile page in the Editorial Team section of this website.

Medical Review

Editorial review alone is not enough for medical content. Before publication, content that makes clinical claims is reviewed by a licensed clinician practising in the relevant specialty:

Reviewed pages display a “Medically reviewed by” attribution together with the date of the most recent review, so you can always see who checked a page and when. Reviewers check medical accuracy, the fair presentation of risks, limitations and alternatives, and whether the sources support the claims made. They can require changes before a page is published.

Sourcing Standards

Medical claims must be supported by primary, authoritative sources. In order of preference, we rely on:

The references used for an article are listed in the Sources section at the end of the page, so you can check them yourself. We do not base medical claims on other clinics' marketing materials, patient forums or content written primarily for search engines.

How We Keep Content Up to Date

Published content is re-reviewed when relevant clinical guidance changes and whenever we make substantive edits to a page. The review date shown on a page advances only when a genuine review has taken place — never for cosmetic changes such as formatting or typo fixes.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

We use artificial-intelligence tools to assist with drafting and with translation, and we believe in being transparent about it — as well as about its limits. AI output is a starting point, never a finished page:

Translations

All content on this website originates in English, which is the authoritative version. Translations into German, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic are produced with AI assistance and then reviewed by our editorial team.

Where the translation of a page has not yet been reviewed, we show the English original instead of an unreviewed machine translation. We consider an unreviewed translation of medical content worse than no translation at all.

Conflict of Interest

Vanity is a cosmetic surgery clinic, and this website describes treatments that our clinic itself provides. We disclose that commercial relationship here so that you can weigh it. Editorial content is intended to inform, not to sell: articles about risks, limitations and alternatives are held to the same standards as articles about benefits, and no page on this website is a substitute for an individual consultation with a physician.

We do not accept sponsored content or paid placements from third parties on this website.

Corrections

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate or out of date, please write to info@vanity.com.tr with a link to the page in question. We look into every report. When we confirm an error, we correct the page promptly; the correction goes through the same review process — including medical review where clinical content is affected — and the review date is updated accordingly.
