If hyaluronic acid filler was used, yes — an enzyme called hyaluronidase dissolves it within a day or two. Non-HA fillers such as calcium hydroxylapatite are not reversible, which is why we start with hyaluronic acid.

We apply topical numbing cream and use filler pre-mixed with lidocaine, so you feel pressure and brief stings rather than sharp pain. The injection itself usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. Afterwards the nose is tender at the injection points, most noticeably over the first 24 to 48 hours, alongside mild redness and slight swelling; it settles on its own over the following few days. Sharp pain at any stage is rare, and worth telling us about rather than waiting out.

No. Filler sits on top of the framework and changes the surface only — it cannot straighten a septum or open a blocked airway. Functional correction means a septorhinoplasty, which addresses the septum and the outer shape in one operation.

It is uncommon but real: dense filler can compress or enter an artery, and cutting off the blood supply that way can cause severe tissue damage or skin necrosis in the area that artery feeds — or, more rarely, affect vision. An experienced injector who understands nasal anatomy and keeps hyaluronidase on hand meaningfully reduces that risk, which is why we do both.

It is a fair question for a procedure this short. Most people build it around a stay of 3 days in Istanbul, with 2 hotel nights, so we can review you in person 2 to 3 days after the injection before you fly home. Most surgeons prefer that residual filler be dissolved a few weeks before a surgical rhinoplasty, since old filler can distort tissue planes. Tell your surgeon honestly about anything you have had injected, even years ago.
