Mert Sızmaz a obtenu son diplôme de médecine à la faculté de médecine Cerrahpaşa de l’université d’Istanbul (programme anglophone) et a effectué sa formation de spécialité à l’hôpital de formation et de recherche Şişli Hamidiye Etfal.

Après son service obligatoire à l’hôpital public Kars Harakani, il a effectué un stage d’observation aux États-Unis en 2019, incluant une expérience clinique au Tampa General Hospital. Il pratique la chirurgie depuis 2015, a rejoint la clinique de chirurgie esthétique Vanity en 2023 et compte huit publications évaluées par les pairs.
