Nikka and Jeremy Prenup

Nikka was among my first few models upon my return from Manila after my makeup schooling. At that time, I didn’t know where to find local photographers who were willing to do an an X-deal to build my portfolio. I asked Nikka for her suggestion and through text she quickly retorted , ”Dustein Sibug.” If not for Nikka, until now I would have been struggling to take my own photos to document the make up works that I do. Despite efforts to polish the makeup, there’s no way I could come up with pictures as fabulous as the ones in my multiply portfolio without a certified photographer skillfully capturing the beauty I enhanced.
Nikka is getting married soon and she asked me to be her makeup artist. Nikka and Jeremy, her groom-to-be, did a prenup pictorial a few weeks ago with the master photographer, Dustein Sibug. Here are some beautifully taken shots during their engagement shoot. My job prettifying the soon- t0- be bride was a breeze as she was already lovely to start with.

My Prenup Shots

Pardon my long absence from this blog. It is partly because of my preparations for an important event in our lives. My hubby and I had our church wedding after 2 years of being legally married. Of course, I did my own makeup. Not because I’m such a scrooge or anything but because I wanted to make sure the look I had in mind will be properly executed. Doing one’s own makeup during her wedding can be really nerve wracking, but it was well worth it. Here are some shots from our prenup shoot by Dustein Sibug. Click play to watch the AVP.
Wedding pics to follow.

Prenup Makeup

Last Sunday, I did the makeup for the pre nup shoot of my friend, Styx. I was as usual amazed at the Urban Decay Primer Potion for its ability to hold the eyeshadow colors the whole day. Throughout the scorching-hot day, I made minor touch ups on the foundation, blush and lipstick but not the eyeshadows. It managed to stay vibrant with the help of my trusty UDPP.
I likewise bow down to the power of the Max Factor Liquid Illusion Foundation which I personally used for the long day. Perennial snapshots with the makeup artist always caught me at my most haggard self, but amazingly, no oilies showed up in my photos this time. Absolutely no retouch for me as I was busy taking pictures with my camera during the shoot. Taking photos of my work allows me to check how the makeup registers on camera and alerts me to correct whatever flaws that may show.
