I would wear whatever Carmina Villarroel is wearing. I’ve always considered Carmina as one of the few showbiz people with excellent fashion sense- trendy but  not tacky for her age, and sexy without revealing too much. She’s the type who can wear fashion rings and have the accessories trending the next day. Carmina simply looks good in whatever she’s donning since her teenybopper days. Eventually, she found a productive way to channel her fashion sense by creating her own shoe line, taking after her middle name- the Muniz Shoes .

KC On Marie Claire

KC Concepcion is gracing this month’s edition of Marie Claire Philippines. I grabbed a copy because of her notrworthy makeup done by Krist Bansuelo. Her strong bone structure is softened by the right contouring and highlighting. The eyebrows are perfectly arched and  the lips are done flawlessly. She has more photos inside bringing out the sophisticated woman in her.

Congratulations to KC, Krist Bansuelo, photographer Mark Nicdao, Stylist Pam Quinones, Designer Jerome Salaya Ang  for the job well done.

What I love about Marie Claire is that it is able to blend fashion, beauty and issues that matter to the society in one package.

Pookie Makeup

No, I’m not trying to gross you out or speak profanity. This is a line of makeup that caught my attention while browsing cherryculture.com. To the makers of this brand, it is a term of endearment. “We thought it was the perfect name for the only product you practically kiss, ” the description read. In Filipino language, however, Pookie is a rather very intimate part of the female human anatomy. Uh.. ok, it refers to the genitalia. There.

The makeup brand is not at all applied to that area of the body nor is it owned by Filipina comedian Pokwang, but the products available at the site are all for the lips. As in the lips on your face. Not lips some place else. Here’s one I found amusing:
