Meet The MUA in Scrubs

She is a physician by profession whose passion for beauty made her pursue a dichotomous path to  medicine and makeup artistry. She resigned during her 3rd year of  Radiology residency training due to health concerns but prior to leaving her work at the hospital ( in between duties) she found time to squeeze in make up gigs for weddings and debuts. She is also known as the “make-up artist in scrubs (MUA in Scrubs),” taking after her winning entry to Summit Publications’ and Nokia’s contest on Passions.

After resignation, she attended the now-defunct Academy of Beauty and Arts in Manila under the tutelage of Lourd Ramos, for a formal schooling in make up artistry and hair styling. Since then, she has done several more works for events including glamour and avant garde make up for various fashion photoshoots and exhibits.

Currently working as a company physician, acupuncturist, and medical writer, she continues to nurture her passion for beauty. She hopes to share her expertise of the art with people who seek the fountain of knowledge in the field of aesthetics through this blog.
