RF For The Face
If there’s one aesthetic procedure that actress Kim Chiu admits to having, it’s RF of the face. Radio Frequency (RF) of the face is a quick, painless, and non-surgical way to enhance beauty that is readily available at most dermatology clinics. I have previously blogged about how RF and Lipo Cavitation can help sculpt your body and reduce stubborn fats. Although RF of the face was used primarily by Kim to contour her face and lose cheek fats, it is also widely being used for anti-aging purposes. The electromagnetic waves from RF promotes fibroblast migration and new collagen formation to yield tighter, smoother, and more elastic skin.
Uses of RF for the Face:
- Skin tightening to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and correct sagging skin (lifting effect)
- Reduction of the appearance of double chin
- Break down unwanted facial fats
- Increase elasticity of skin
- Improvement of skin tone
- Decrease appearance of acne scars
- Lessen acne breakouts
If you are looking for ways to look fresh and young without having to go under the knife or get poked by needles (such as going through vampire treatment/ PRP), RF for the face will be a great option. It is similar to having RF of the body where you lay, relax and have a probe massaged into your area of concern after it is soaked with RF cream or transducer gel. The probe for facial RF is much smaller than the one used for the abdomen. There may be warmth during and after, on the areas treated, but should not be too hot to cause pain. The process only takes around 20-30 minutes.
Immediately after treatment, skin tightening will be noticeable, but depending on the beauty problems addressed, it may require around 5 to 8 sessions to achieve desired results, at 1 week intervals. A maintenance session may be done once every 6 months. Our patients at Zenbiosis giddily tell us how they have received various compliments from their co-workers and friends about their natural glow after going through RF for the face.
Ideal candidates for this procedure are those from ages 20 to 50. Although healthy people in their 60′s and 70′s may avail it, the results will be limited. If you have bony, thin, contoured face, RF for the face may not be for you. As long as you don’t have metal plates on your body, diseases of the lymphatics, and recent wound on the face, the RF for the face is a safe and painless way to rejuvenate. Safety of this procedure has not been established on pregnant and breastfeeding patients, so it will be wise for patients to avoid this while in those stages.
